Innovation in AIDS Testing

Read about Project Mwana, a pilot program using mobile phone messages (SMS) to transmit HIV/AIDS test results.

Fatality rates drastically decrease when HIV/AIDS is detected early so treatment with anti-retroviral medications can begin immediately. However, many who have the disease do not even have access to the drugs.

Advancements in technology are imperative to waging the war against HIV/AIDS, but so is education about prevention of the disease. African Children Today (ACT) is dedicated to helping children in the Rakai district of Central Africa affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. With your assistance, we can offer a bright, hope-filled future. Our goal is that each child receive a solid education, life skills and training about HIV/AIDS.

Change is happening. Be a part of it.
